Mono Threads at MedexWA
Mono Threads
With Mono Threads at MedexWA, PDO (Polydioxanone) threads (short lengths of surgical stitch material) are ‘injected’ under the skin to form a mesh or scaffolding.
The threads are absorbed over a period of 6 months or so and whilst in place a healing response will be activated to stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This treatment is performed by AHPRA-registered medical practitioners.
Many patients notice a gradual improvement in skin tone, suppleness and firmness, though individual results vary. The new collagen remains long after the thread has been absorbed.
Threads can be used with or instead of filler, so great for all the following areas:
Temporal hollows
Cheeks
Nose
Naso-labial folds
Marionette lines or mouth frown
Chin
Lips
Jaw line
